Our Story
Grand Rapids Bounce Houses was founded in 2022 by Kayleigh Rogers. After earning her Master’s degree in occupational therapy and spending years helping patients at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. Kayleigh’s hours were cut, daycare costs were skyrocketing, and she was searching for a new way to support her growing family (we now have four kids!).
The spark came from our own neighborhood block parties. We bought our first bounce house just for fun, and the pure joy on the kids’ faces was infectious. Kayleigh thought, “Why not turn this into a business?” With the full support of her husband Ryan (who owns a local marketing agency and built our website), we took the leap. What started with a few inflatables and a lot of late nights has grown into one of the most trusted bounce house rental companies in West Michigan.
The road wasn’t always easy, balancing young kids, learning the business, and taking financial risks tested us—but determination and a shared passion for creating happy memories kept us going. Failure was never an option.
